Kraft Foods sponsors several awards through the American Society for Nutrition.

The Conrad Elvehjem Award for Public Service in Nutrition

This award, sponsored by Kraft Foods, is given in recognition of scientific and distinguished service to the public through the science of nutrition. The recipient is awarded $1500 and an engraved plaque.

2011 Recipient: Dr. Paul Coates, Office of Dietary Supplements-National Institutes of Health

The David Kritchevsky Career Award in Nutrition

Established in 2006, this award, sponsored by Kraft Foods, is given in recognition of lifetime achievements and contributions to the public through the science of nutrition. The recipient is awarded $2500 and an engraved plaque.

2011 Recipient: Dr. James O. Hill, University of Colorado

Kraft Pre-Doctoral Fellowship

This award, sponsored by Kraft Foods, provides a $5,000 non-renewable award to Graduate Student members of ASN.

This Endowment is designated to provide support for one graduate fellowship as a 2-year cycle award.

Funds will be used to provide support for graduate students enrolled in the Division of Nutritional Sciences.

Support for Research at University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill

Research will assess snacking behavior and the nutritional contributions of snacks in the diet.

Food and Nutrition Corporate Affiliate Membership – Purdue University

Membership funds support Food and Nutrition Programs at Purdue University

Bangalore Boston Nutrition Collaboration (BBNC) – St. Johns Research Institute

Support for students attending the BBNC short course in Bangalore. This program prepares and trains Nutrition Scientists in developing countries.

Nutrition Foundation-Kraft Foods Nutrition and Food Science Fellowships

In 2005, Kraft Foods and the International Nutrition Foundation (INF) launched the INF-Kraft Foods Nutrition and Food Science Fellowship Program. Through this program in 2009, Kraft Foods sponsored 12 emerging leaders from various countries to attend the International Congress of Nutrition in Bangkok, Thailand.
